I haven't actually done this. It looks like you will need access inside the transmission (i.e. remove it from the car and take case halves apart) to remove bolt 13 and disengage piece 5. You could try though just taking parts 3 and 2 off from the outside and see if it is possible to extract the rod 10 with piece 5 still attached. Then you would be able to take it apart and replace the seal 16.
Make sure it's not just your cam plug. Those commonly leak and would drip a bunch of motor oil on top of the transmission in the same area.
