Default SRS Light On, Permanently.

Hi All

My SRS Light is always on. I'm pretty sure it was like that when I bought it from the yard, to be honest I didn't notice. EIther way I'm a little concerned, that my air bag may not deploy as it should, in the event of a crash or worse deploy randomly in my face while cruising innocently down the road.

Any suggestions?

first off take it to like autozone or any good size autoparts store and have them check the code that its thrown..........
and if its nothing try and reset the code.... if it stays clear then i wouldnt worry about it.... BUT if it comes back on they fix the problem.... when they read the code they should tell ya whats the reason for the light to be on....

and any mods on the car?
most likely if it has a aftermarket header on it then its from the O2 sensor.LOL
BUT be sure... have them run the code... and clear it and if it comes back on youll know its a problem..

but sometimes the light can come on from simply not puting the gas cap on tight enough........

Cheers, I'm in New Zealand, so theres no Autozone here. However I am pretty close to a Honda dealership, so hopefully they can help. Thanks though.
