nope
real easy
remove the front clear plastic casing from the front of the cluster, and then there's some screws on the back of the cluster holding the speedometer into the cluster.

cool, thnx for help so far, well after taking more and more looks at it, i didnt notice offhand that my speedometer and the type R ones are different colors, kinda wanna keep it uniform. does ne1 know newhere to get a cluster that redlines at or around 8400rpm that has a speedometer in MPH?

Why does it matter to you where the physical redline is as long as the tach goes high enough?
