Tips on Replacing Timng Belt on '95 Civic
First time here, great site!
Looking for info on shortcuts or tips for the replacing the timing belt on my '95 civic lx 4 door. I'm using the Chilton's manual, and it has approx. 135,000 miles on it. Belt has never been replaced. Thanks in advance.

you'll find a lot of DIYs on this and other sites for that particular job. I don't have links off hand, but do a search and you'll see some great ones with thorough pictures. good luck. I'm due for one myself in 20k miles.
Replacing a timing belt is not that complicated. Just remove all those parts that that get in the way of the belt cover. Removing the crank pulley bolt might be the hardest part if you cant get the special tool for this purpose. Line up the marks on the cam gear and mark on the engine making sure that the word "TOP" is on top. Remove the belt and install new one. It would be wise also to change the w.pump and tensioner together with the belt.
