waterpump question

if my waterpump was going bad or not working as effeciantly as it should, what symptoms could occur?

Usually they leak when they get bad. Sometimes they'll squeel. And your motor will not be sufficiently cooled

damnnn guess thats not it, heres the thing forty, i dont know if i told u this but i was drving to six flags with a few people in my ride on a hot *** day, we were in traffic for about an hour and a half give or take, then i hit a open highway, i went to about 75 and then my car starts to overheat, not to the point where its the H but maybe half an inch or less from it, then i slowed down a bit to 60, the needle came back to the center of the C and H, then when i increase my speed back to 75 the needle rises again, what can this be?? im not leaking coolant, my fans r workingand i have enough coolant in the resovoir, please help me out

gotta be a bad temp sensor. I think Autozone, Napa etc carry them and they're like 15 bucks. I'd give that a shot.

^Def try that first. Rule of thumb when fixing your car......start with the cheapest stuff. I would prob do what tony said AND flush out my coolant system and fill er up with fresh coolant. If that doesnt work, then were probably looking @ a leaky or blown headgasket, and or crack in the block.

where is the bad temp sensor located and how do i change it?? kinda new to dis stuff, and jus to let u guys know i drove the car today on the highway for about 30 min at about 75 to 80 mph, no overheating?? any new conclusions on what this could be
