What is high mileage on a 2002 Civic EX
We are looking a purchasing a used 2002 Civic EX from a local dealer. It has 118,000 miles. My wife is concerned about he high mileage. Is this consider high mileage for this vehicle? How many more miles should we expect to get from it if it was averagely taken care of by the previous owner?

I believe mileage may vary by region, not sure, but in Texas 12,000 to 15,000 per year is an acceptable range for normalcy. For a 2002 then, between 72,000 and 90,000 miles would be considered a normal range. You can do an appraisal on Edmunds.com and see if the mileage adjustment goes up or down in price for your given zip code.

Go to http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.a...p=1&f=5004 so you can find out the range of the car's price for its miles....just curious how much they want for car?

Thanks for the feedback. They are asking $7995 for it. It looks clean.
I read on the carfax report that it has been well maintained, but the last owner only owned it for four months.
I understand that some of these cars have had transmission problems. Anything I should look for that may be a warning of a transmission problem?

Well then check the transmission fluid too if you decide to get it because it may be low or the fluid may be contaminated and needs changing and if you don't feel the engagement of the transmission then there are probably internal transmission problems. I guess that is all you should know.
