No A/C for me---Im in Alaska and may only use it once or twice in the summer. I guess my defrost automatically turns the A/C on even though it doesnt light up the button. My owners manual says even after you switch if off defrost to a different setting the A/C will remain on without the light---how stupid is that

Dave
it does that so it won't fog up the window i believe, all new hondas do it
Yea I know it defogs the window quicker, but on my fiances 2002 Civic the A/C button lights up. Its stupid how they changed that on the 04 and 05's to not light up so you dont remember to turn if off. But I havent used defrost that much to see why my mpg went down so much

How low is your tank when you fill up? Try this, fill up, drive until you have half a tank left and fill up again. Check your gas mileage.

Then drive until your tank is almost empty & fill up. Check you gas mileage.

I know it sounds crazy but I seem to get better mileage if I fill up at around a half tank.

ya that does sound crazy.....
if anything id think you would get beter milage if you took the tank all the way to just about empty....

less weight for each gallon of gas
ive heard of that before... which makes very good sense..

That still doesnt explain the sudden drop in fuel economy though.
