Finally a simple and elegant solution. It's a toggle switch so when someone else buckles up it resets to factory. Even a great solution the safety ***** should like. This way my choice only affect me and no on should give a crap.

Thanks for the help.

And to the others thanks for the hospitality and the beat down. It's always a good feeling to get pissed on.

But you know there are a lot of brainwashed narks that will still loose sleep of some one turning off a chime.....again perfectly legal...I called an asked.

May I make a suggestion: Go to your nearest Toyota Dealer, office,or manufacturing site and protest. If you really care about safety take a look at the real world and do something meaningful.

I normally always wear my belt but we all know there's certain situations when we can't, and that little beeper is damn annoying, for sure. I do believe it's my right to choose when I want to wear my seat belt and when I don't, and don't need the government to hold my hand; I'm a grown-up, THANKS!

lol, you called who, Mr. Safety, Inc.?

again, tampering with the SRS in any way is illegal, end of story.

In fact, end of thread..

If you want to talk brainwashing or propaganda, join a political forum. Or start a thread in the lounge. The "*****" (hillarious how that word is always used when someone knows they are wrong..) would be more than happy to debate in the proper setting.
