What you want for the head it'll fit on my dsm great i could use it as a spair an your correct it will not fit on the evo and you did get the bov in the picture above. You better plan on running like 12-14 psi cuz thats where the wast-gate is set and the bov will let go at. You have a great find there you got the 14b turbo which is the best stock dsm turbo until the evo. That turbo is capable of about 19psi and 300hp. Since its internally gated thats to your advantage for the cost of putting on your car. Pete your correct it is not set up for atmospheric blow off and is set up to blow back into the intake before the turbo but after the MAS sense. but yes i would get rid of the plastic crap on it and the bottom pipe which is like 2 1/2 ID thats the intake pipe the next one up is the recirc tube just remove that and it will blow into the atmosphere it dosent need to blow back into the intake then the next one up is a vacuum line to your boost controller. I do love the HKS SSQV i have on my DSM to. You should be fine with the side mount be a front mount would be a benefit to you. Basically all you need it fuel and piping (intake & exhaust). you need to run water lines to and from it just like oil lines. Good luck if you need any other info let me know. I know about ever thing there is to know about a DSM.

Excellent find sniper, that is HUGE to pick up that many parts for free

And there should be absolutely no play in the shaft, but hell, a rebuild will run you 100 bucks max!

Thats a sleved turbo not a ball baring turbo. They have little play however Sleved ones have more play but there shouldn't be hardly any side to side play but some in and out play when looking at it from the end. But not much, just a wiggle.
