Default turbo d16y8

im want to turbo my 2000 ex d16y8. nothing real big, mabey 8 psi. iv asked about ebay turbo kits from a friend and he says that would be ok, just plan on buying new parts when they break(like a crack in the headers) but im thinking of taking that route. there are a tone of kits on ebay, mostly t3 t4 turbos, what would be the best way to gofor the best HP and MPG balace. i heard that if you have a turbo and keep your foot of the gas you get better MPG but when you hit it your gas goes out the door. so any ideas would help

thanks

You need to use the search button because there are numerous threads on everything you asked. Also your sig is a little wrong....because if you turbo your car you wont be using the header or intake....and i said header not headerS since we only have one.

Dude from reading your sig you are gonna have one sick setup: headers, intake, AND a turbo. damn I want a ride when you are done with it because your probably gonna be smoking z06's.

aww dont be a jerk dude lol^ but yeah i would spend the cash now instead of down the road when you have to replace almost every piece in the kit and basicaly dumped 500-800 down the drain for nothing, theres a reason those kits are cheap and good kits are expensive

you can have a turbo with a header and an intake, so don't hate.

From what i have heard on turbod16 the ebay kits are decent. The intercoolers, intercooler piping, and the cast manifolds are decent. The only issues i have heard ppl complain about are the fitment and the turbos. It is all hit and miss with ebay turbo kits so its completely up to you.
