turbo and emissions

can a car with a turbo kit still pass emissions?

almost all greddy kits are C.A.R.B approved. Yea they can still pass. There are plenty of factory turbocharged cars out there.

a force induced engine can still pass emissions since it is never under boost during the test anyway, however they may not all pass visual test. Here in Cali, we have some of the strictest emissions laws. If it doesn't have a C.A.R.B # it is not allowed. Some kits out there are approved some are not.

so are greddy kits the only ones that are c.a.r.b. approved. i want to pass emissions but get a turbo kit.

no, there might be others. you have to ask for your particular car. For example a greddy turbo kit for my car is not CARB approved, but many other Greddy kits are.
