Turboing a 97 LX
well where are you from? I know around here there are no emissions laws at all. OBD1 conversion is where its at, then go get it professionally tuned. Hondata has alot of features that you really only need if you're running a pretty heavy setup, Crome would prolly do you just fine from what i've heard(and be cheaper too).
Get a compression/leakdown test done on your engine, you can either have a shop do the compression test or you can rent a compression tester and DIY, but the test will tell you what kind of shape your engine is in. If all is well, go ahead.
And as for HP goals, i've read just about double the OEM hosepower is safe on stock internals.

But anyways, if you don't live in CA. you should convert to obd1 and run a chip ecu.
