I agree with both sides this time...street racing is basically taking everyones life that is around in your own hands at a 130 mph...not good...but they should have just sold them at an auction instead of smashing the crap out of them like that...wut a waste of hardwork, time, money, and resources...that guy is retarded...dose he realize wut he could have sold those cars for?...can anyone say "MORON"...duh...but if they sold them they would just end up on the street again making it pointless...so i can see wut they r thinking...just be happy we arent in Canada i guess

 

is it a waste if it keeps him from racing on the streets? and they dont care about the couple grand they could have gotten for the cars in comparison to the mental anguish the owners got for watching them be crushed. having it taken away isnt as bad as seeing it get smashed for no better reason than you were stupid enough to street race and got caught.

and thats a dangerous attitude. itll get here if it works. and something tells me it will work better than just about anything else they do.

first off i would like to say that while i agree with everyone saying that street racing is stupid, however there has to bette way to do about this. i mean revoking thier license is one thing, but crushing thier car that their blood, sweat, tear went into to make it thier own is completely is crazy. i think that they should have thought that one through a little betters.

i read sacicons reply to wut i said and i retract the part of it being dumb that they destroy the cars...i think that its not a bad idea if it keeps people from getting killed on the street...i think that if you want to race you should take it to the track..that wuz regarding the work put into the car not the destruction of them...and the dangerous atitude thing...ur right...again...darn u, but i c where ur comin from...so i wuz wrong but i c now...so take it to the track not the streets (i had thought this before...and i believe i mentioned it in another thread...not sure which one but i did)

 

that guy should be shot impound sucks but crushing a beautiful automobile is just wrong especially when its 2 civics

 

1.) They shouldn't of street raced..its bullcrap and it puts not only yourself in danger but other inoccent people and their family also, i hate it when immature children see my car and because its "riced out" they fly pass me.....if they ever would come close to hitting me (when my son is in the back) im likly to kick somebodys A$$.

2.) Watching those cars getting crushed made me sick.....PRISON IS ENOUGH.....and maybe a big fine

 

Jeez they better stop street racing. I can only imagine what the government is going to do if they keep it up.. soon their going to be crushing not only the cars, but the racers themselves... haha imagine that.. your watching the news and you see some teens in their riced out cars getting squashed.. lol that would get the message accross I bet.. oooh I'm a sico aren't I.

well worst part is why they JUST crushed two nice civics.....
street racing is street racing............... doesnt matter if its a riced out civic OR a brand new mustang.....

most stupid street racers just had momie or daddy buy thier car and pay for the customizing....

and to me doesnt matter if its taken away or crushed!!!!!!!!!! either way ITS GONE FROM YOU!!!!!

it would probably hurt me even worse if i say someone else driving it every day around town after they bought it from a police auction.LOL

and needless to say that was ruffly what....... 10-15K bucks that coulda been used to hire MORE cops to patrol the streets for more streat racers.... or hell IF YOU REALY WANNA scare street racers.. sell one and keep the other and transform it into a undercover cop car! then a cop can be in the RACE car.... and preaty much trap another STREET RACER into racing and then TAKE HIS RIDE.... and so on and so forth!!!!!

lets face it a undercover cop car works alot beter than a typical cop car!



doing like that would make ALOT MORE PEOPLE THINK TWICE BEFORE TRYING TO STREET RACE!
dont know about you but id say that would be AWHOLE LOT MORE DETERANT.... hell think about it... the guy you just pulled up next to MIGHT be a undercover cop just testing you to race!
AND not only did you just save a car from being crushed... you also SAVED the cost from a new cop car! and if they wreck it trying to stop a street racer..... well who cares didnt cost them much money other than some flashing lights and some radios in a wreck

ALSO they could also use those as BAIT CARS to prevent auto thefts...


crushing a perfectly good vehicle is just stupid!!!!!!!!! to me and most people on this forum and others... just makes no sense!!!!!

now if they woulda took a civic, and mustang, and a corvete, bmw.... whats some other hard performing new vehicles that get raced alot. now if they woulda put them end to end and then took a MONSTER TRUCK and then drove over all of them.... that woulda been preaty cool....LMFAO but to aim at one model of vehicle.... thats just STEREOTYPING!!!!!!!
