Back to RallyX, this time in a Civic!
So a while back my buddy and sponsor(www.karcepts.com) were talking about RallyX, he was asking me questions about it since I used to do it. He seemed real interested but I didn't think he'd actually end up trying it out. Couple weeks ago he asks me if I wanted to do the last event of the season in his beater car and of course I took up on the offer! He ended up spending about $1k on his long neglected beater '91 Civic Si to get it in good, safe running order for the event, including some winter tires that we are aloud to run in Stock FWD class. He had also asked 2 other friends who have never done it if they wanted to join in and of course they said yes. After a very long day, we got about 35 runs in the car. Which I added up the run times and it came out to be around 65minutes of driving between all 4 of us! That's a freaking hell of a lot of driving and abuse that that car stood up to! The only damage I know of done was a popped out front corner light, a broken exhaust and a lot of dirt.
Anyways, I managed to take 1st in class out of I think 7. Somehow beating some guy in a CRX that apparently travels all over the country and usually kicks ***. I did watch his runs and man he was a very smooth driver for sure. I think I just got real lucky with course conditions on my runs.. but I'll take it! lol I feel I did well for not doing an event for just over a year and a half...
Anyways, onto some pics and video
They run a split day format. We ended up doing 5 runs each in the morning and then ran the course reverse in the afternoon doing 3 runs each.

As fun and great as this civic is, all this really made me miss my Neon..

Results just got posted. I ended up fastest stock car out there and 9th out of 46. Not too shabby with how many modified subies were out there and considering I'm in a stock, beat fwd civic with probably less than half the hp than most of the cars out there... Lol
