the only coilover i would personally recommend is the ground control coilovers, but only if you are going to replace the shocks. the coilovers are 300 then you need shock and struts which are anywhere from 400-600.so its gonna be way over your budget

since you are on a budget, which most of us are, what i would do is go get some eibach pro line or sportline springs, depends on how much of a drop you want. sportlines will be a little lower. those will be like 200, then get a skunk2 camber kit for front and rear, and that should be about 300 for both sets. so thats about 500 and do the work yourself and you are good to go. theres no immediate need to replace the shocks and struts on an 05, but it is recommended to do sometime soon. cuz stock shocks wont last near as long as some sport shocks like kyb, koni, bilstien, or tokico.

also recommended is a helmes or haynes manual if you dont already have one. it will tell you how to take apart and put together the suspension.

How much of a drop are you wanting? Tokico HP Shocks with some Tein S-Tech springs is a good route to go that will fit your price range. It will give you a little more than 1.5 inches drop.

$500 . Your better off to go with springs and shocks. What kind of drop are you looking for? Looking for somthing stiff or soft? Go though some of the pages on the forum, lots of spring and shock threads.

they arnt $410. im confused on the way they sell these, but they'll either be about $810 or about $1200..either way, i wouldnt get them unless u plan on racing. that setup has high spring rates which wouldnt be very comfortable for u on the streets. i dont think u'll find a good full coilover set for under $500, even used.

do ur research on the springs/shocks for ur year car. just doing a quick search i've only come up with Tein S-Techs and havnt found any resonably priced shocks. im not sure if the '01-'04 civics have a different setup than the '05s, for some reason they show up in different categories. something for youto look into..

For the most part, springs will be the better choice if you just want a better looking lower everyday driver.A lot of the coil over kits are designed more towards a racing setup.

You wont need a cam kit unless your dropping more than 2 inches. You should be fine depending on what spring you end up with. You have never said what drop you are looking for though. Check here... http://www.hopupracing.comThat site is good. And always give Ebay a try too. Ive found some good deals there.

i like this site: http://www.shox.comand get some eibach springs.

and as far as the camber kit. IMO you should get the front one no matter what drop you get. as far as the rear i dont know what kind of suspension is in the 05, so you might double check with someone else. i have one on the front of mine and i only have a 1.25 inch drop. in the rear i used washers between the upper control arm and the body with a longer bolt, but thats on a 96 suspension.
