Unhappy lower control arm bushing replacement!

I need to replace my lower control arm bushings on my 93 civic lx. I have taken out the old ones and have bought the new ones but they didn't fit. I went back up to the store thinking they gave me the wrong kind or size, but they were the right ones for my year civic. Did I miss something or what? Please help.

they're not going to just slide right in. Use a vise press or shop press to install them.

I have tried using a vise grip but the outer edge is of the bushing is metal and won't fit inside the hole.

if that doesn't help you, go to a mechanic. I don't know your mechanical ability level, so sorry if you are offended.
