Default lowering question

I want to get a drop, but with my budget I wont be able to afford it for a long time. I plan on getting coil over sleeves. I have noticed that used Struts on ebay sell much cheaper when they are 1 or 2 as opposed to a complete set of 4.

I was wondering if It would be an extremely bad idea to piece together a lowering kit with 4 different struts? and just to make certain, struts and coilovers are the only parts I would have to buy?

As long as the struts are the same brand and model and in the same condition (new, preferably) you should be fine. Mixing and matching struts usually isn't the best idea for a street car unless you know what you're doing.

You might have to get new rear LCA bolts or new rear strut-mount bolts, as well as possibly new bushings, but that depends on if the bolts are seized or not. Assuming they're not, all you need is the coilover sleeves and struts.
