Tokico makes a kit that comes with shocks and springs.Lowers about 1.5 inches. Now it might be more expensive for your 7th gen Civic, but for a 5 or 6th gen its about $400. Pretty good price if you think about what you get. A moderate lowering.

Welcome to the wonderful world of modding. However, I will admit that once the car is dropped, you won't be able to take your eyes off it for at least 2 weeks cuz it'll be so f-ing sexy looking.

I had the Tokico kit they are talking about and it was $350+$300 for install
BTW it is the Tokico HP kit
i really liked it and recomend it
and if you have any mechanical abilities you can DIY
i justinstalled my first set of struts last weekend and it only took me 4 hrs and it wasn't really that hard just time consuming

what kind of drop do you guys suggest? i took a ruler to my car and something like a 1.5 drop i feel like i wouldn't even notice =\

I would say that would get through the winter depending on the severity of course. If you dont think so maybe settle for something a bit higher.
