Default turn ratio HELP NEEDED!!

Hi Guys!

I got a set of new tires slightly lower rating. I went from Michellen factory stock (V rating)to Hangoogk H rating for my 2002 hatch back SI. ( my orginal post can be found here)
https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_50.../tm.htm#506326

After experiencing so much different feel of driving, I got the unstable part settle with pressure adjustment.
But my steering wheel is difference. With new tires I would need to turn twice much as in agle to get a same turn. And most of all, my steering wheel doesn't come back to center by it self and I gotta give that little pull at the end. This all did not changed even after the alignment with Honda.

So I'm back here @ honda dealer right now and waiting to see their responses.
The resprentative described me that I'm experiencing different 'turn (steering?)ratio'.
Does anybody have any knowledge aboutturn ratio and new tires?
Do you need to get a same brand and rating of tires to get the equivalent performance on your car?
How can I go about fixing the problem I'm having w/o getting new tires again?

did you maintain the size....? or did you purchase a different size?
The "ratio" is controlled by the steering box, and orthe rack&pinion.

excuse me.. I meant to say Turn Ratio. That's what the Honda Service representative told me before my car went in.
Steering Ratio was found on the web I was searching. I'm not sure if they're the same terms..

And different brand of tires have different pattern on the tires and Hangook tires is $79 comparend to perfomrance Michellen $159.

Yes, tires are the same size. Radius and thickeness everything for that last part of the rating which V allow higter speed than H. And I got H rating.
As for the stock Micheellen tires, it came from the factory and it is the best fit for sporting car (honda si). What I have is cheap tires.

Oh.. and I meant to say Turn Ratio... If honda representative got the right term.. But I'll need to see what the tech saids afterall..

Thanks for the quick response.... I guess I'll find out what the fuss is.
