low RPM - limping/sputtering 92'
Not sure what the problem is caused by, it started making a few "burps" then went crazy with the sputtering. It doesn't like accelerating, the RPMs won't go above 2000, I was able to find a sweet spot that didn't make these noises but lefting or pushing any more on the gas it goes back to sputtering. The best way to describe the sound and feel is comparing it to the go-carts that won't go over 5 mph. Sounded and felt just like those. I was able to get it up to speed eventually, but the car didn't like it. I didn't see any leaks, broken wires/hoses, oils fine, temp is fine... did just fill the tank, but its from the same place I always go... Anyone have any ideas?
Is the CEL ON?
When were the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor last replaced? If those are fine, you should check the mechanical timing of the camshaft and crankshaft as the timing belt may have slipped a tooth or two.

No check engine light. It has been a while since my last tune up, I'm going to try that first. I tried driving it again, and the problem wasn't as constant as it was the first time, but still got pretty bad.
I experienced the same symptoms with my MX6 and it turned out to be the distributor. I had replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and even the fuel filter. Nothing solved the problem until the distributor was replaced.
The diagram shows how to check the mechanical timing. This procedure requires that you remove the valve cover and the upper timing belt cover. To check for TDC1 synchrony of the cam and crank, use a small breaker bar to turn the crank pulley from the crank bolt only in the counterclockwise direction.
