New Driveshafts Are in How Do I install?
Got the new axels for the civic im a total nub on front wheel drive cars and imports in general so what would be the best way to go about installing these new cv driveshafts?
Jack the front of the car up and rest it on jack stands.
Pull the wheels and unbolt the axle nut (32mm or 1 1/4 inch socket).
Unbolt the castle nut on the lower ball joint.
Using a ball joint seperator, seperate the knuckle from the lower control arm and pull the steering knucle off of the axle and set it off to the side.
Passenger side: Using a pry bar, pry the axle out of the transmission by prying at the axle where it meets the trans.
Driver side: Unbolt the bracket half way up the axle then pull the axle out of the transmission (may or may not need to be pried out)
Installation is reverse of dissasembly.
Need anymore help just let me know.
