Default Replacing Clutch, Axle removal

So i am replacing the clutch in my 99 si. I already have the axles removed from the hub on both sides. For the passenger side I can't remove it from the tranny, any ideas? I tried popping it with a flathead but am afraid that I'll crack the tranny if I apply to much force. Then on the driverside the CV connects into what I think is a half shaft. Do I have to remove the Axle from the Half shaft then remove the half shaft from the tranny or can I drop the tranny with the half shaft connected? If someone could find me a writeup on hwo to do this for the B series engine It would be very much appreciated. I found a few btu they are nowhere near detailed enough to help me.

It should just compress the spring clip and go with the help of BIG flat screwdriver (more than half an inch wide). At least it went for me on 84' and 92'.
And do yourself a favor - get service manual, or at least Chilton or Haynes - that is the place you normally find authoritative answers to similar questions. As well as detailed instructions.

Im totally confused with your post. What do you mean by half shaft and by axle? I always thought that a half shaft was an axle. I didn't have too much trouble with the axle i changed.
