How to adjust timing
I have tried to find out how exactly to adjust my ignition timing, if i even need to. again i have a d16y7 with I/H/E, tb spacer, and no cat as of now. i would like to know if i need to adjust my timing and how to go about doing so. if anyone can shed some light on the matter or post a link that i can use, i would appreciate it.
also i have heard that it is necessary once in a while to do a valve adjustment as well. i only have about 45K miles but i do hear valve ticking. would i need to get a valve adj. and how much would it cost to get done at a shop, or is it something i can do and if so, what tools will i need.
i am just trying to find out little adjustments here and there that will help my car be in tip top shape, especially since i plan to go Nitrous down the road.
again any posts will be greatly appreciated

I don't know whether you need to adjust your timing but, if necessary, the picture describes how to do it for 96-00 Civics. The 2P service connector is located behind the passenger kick panel and branches from the main wire harness.
