I just have to know!!HELP!!! I need a genius
The intake mani and TB you've got are probabaly changing your powerband. Depending on the runner length, and other factors, you're band could be shifted slightly higher then his. It may be killing you on your launch, resulting in less power in the lower RPM's. Did you guys every run side by side? Where did he pass you?

Hmm i got to thinking about that and I was keeping up with v8's until i had to shift into 3rd. thats where everyone kills me. hmmm[sm=helpout.gif][sm=partyparty.gif]
Yeah, just remember bigger isn't always better when it comes to Intake and Exhuast. No one option is "better" it's just different. Also good to remember that Honda are tuned for low end power, where a daily driven car spends most of it's life. Hence the small exhuast, etc.
so what do you think the best thing would be to do. just get another head and work on it with like valves cam springs and stuff then once its all together getting it tuned?
The first thing I'd do is let your friend make the same run with your car a few times. Maybe you could also make a few runs with his car. If the difference in times is still consistent, then I'd think that there was a difference with the cars.

I can second what branx said. If you have valves fouled with heavy carbon deposits, that'll kill your compression. Clogged injectors would affect fuel delivery. A catalytic converter can also clog, which would add further restriction to your exhaust. I can't think of other causes, but like branx said, there could be a lot.
