check for craked fuel injectors too... My CRX that I swapped a B18B into ran rich, and that was why... it wont hold in the fuel pressure, so the gas leaks past the little valve at the end of the injector... alot of motors that are used that come from junk yards and what not will usually have at least one cracked injector.... also, check for a faulty distributer... if it is not burning all of the fuel correct, then it will be rich as well.... i would really look towards the fuel system... did you use a new wiring harness, or just convert the old one? maybe you might have a sensor wire crossed or on the wrong sensor.... like your MAP or TPS

i didn't need to convert anything, both car and engine are obd1. The engine came from a friend and he didn't have a problem so I dont think its a cracked fuel injector, but the gas that was in the shell sat there for a long time so i think that might have crapped up the injectors and the filter. I have some lucas injection cleaner that I am going to run through it once I get the car running "it was below zero the whole weekend so the car didn't want to start"

I would replace the fuel filter, check the injectors for cracks, and test you fuel pressure regulator... then run the fuel injection system cleaner with some premium... get all that nasty shi+ out of there

yup, that is the plan, but all this was a good way to talk my wife into letting me get a vafc, which I wanted mostly to control the vtec

You could have the fuel injector cleaned, or clean them your self. There is this tool that shoots injector cleaner through the injectors at a pretty high pressure to clean it up. The tool is $200 so your not gonna want to buy one so find a shop that has one and have them clean you injectors out. You could run some premium, but the injector cleaning is gonna work much better. If you get your injectors cleaned, make sure they use the high pressure injector cleaner maching thing, don't let them charge you for pouring some crap into the gas tank.

well i decided to go all out. I figured out that my injectors were bad so I decided to upgrade my intake system. I just bought a skunk2 intake manifold with a gsr throttle body, gsr fuel rail, gsr fpr, gsr injectors. Bought a new oem fuel filter, and an apexi vafc. Once I get everything installed I will let you all know how it works out.
