Throw some cash down, and I'm ready for a track day. My z6 vs the B16. I use to own a 99Si, I have come to hate the dammn B16.

Why are you wanting to do a B swap? Keep D series if your going DD style. z6 or Y8 as everyone is saying. It will be an easier swap. It will also keep from stealing all the money out of your wallet. If your never going to boost, call it simple and go Y8. Seriously.

I'd say say d series, a y8 will do you well. But you can get an ls for pretty much the same price as a y8 now days. Have a nice torque boost from the ls. So I'd say shop around, if you find an auto ls cheap get it. They aren't worth much really, compared to other motors.

I agree, d series for dd. Theres is more potential in the b series however. 275hp can be obtained more easily with a b series. Try that with a d and u will have to dig into the bottom end. Pun, i will def throw down cash for a closed road course day. Drag racing isnt my thing. As i post this, i am at work at a road course where the suntrust daytona prototype is doing tyre testing for next season. Pics later when i get home.

I can rev to 8.2k, but it wouldn't be a good idea lol.

BTW it's pretty much the extreme limit but people have made 275HP on a D-series with stock internals.
