Just a technical thing, they cut metal off. Welding is when you put metal togehter. Anyway, if the body is in bad shape i would get rid of it. Body work isn't cheap and its not something the average gear head can do since it usually involved welding tools which are expensive and most people don't know how to do body work. I could prolly do most engine/brake/suspension work, but i wouldn't try to do any body work other than paint and replacing bumper covers.

i bought my car for 4800, which was a mistake, there was one for 5200 and in perfect condition, saw it after i bought mine, [:@] oh well. anyways my future plans for this is just make it at least a gsr swap, and maybe turbo. the exterior just type r lips and maybe a paint job. And maybe just fix up on the interior a bit. Those were plans before but since the dude who sold me is said if i came back next week its going to be 5800+. and i hate that harness he has, got me going crazy, got some nice head unit but wont work. but anyways thats about it.

In that case take the car with a friend to a quiet place out of town and torch the ****er. Then report as stolen and voila, $$$ in your bank. Or you could try and sell it....obviously.

On a serious note, if you really arent happy with it, put it up for sale cheap and cut your losses. You will never get back what you have paid, so just think to yourself what else you could get for less money and weigh up your options. Personally I'd keep it and fix her up. Nothing is too difficult, and if its mainly cosmetic then bugger it, keep the car till you save enough money and get it resprayed. Not sure how much it costs out there, but under £1000 will get you a complete respray here in the UK. Might be a better option than to sell it and risk buying another ****ter with a whole new string of problems to go with it.

there's nothing much going on besides the exterior. Like some of you said the dent is gonna be expensive to fix. I say that too. Anything that has to do on the exterior is mostly expensive. Well thanks for all the advice. Planning to sell it when i get a new job.

well the blue book value is 2900 for a 97 hatch with 90000 miles in fair conditio. I dont know what all categories to classify your car on that website but they were guesses.
