First, kick your friend in the *****. Then tell him to never drive a car again. THEN, start shifting at normal RPM's and you and your car will live a long, meaningful life.

someone who redlines every gear spends way too much time playing need for speed. i dont think i have ever red lined the civic. i have in the ram though on accident of course. cant control an auto like a manual at 5,000 rpm in that thing you get about 5 mpgs

I'm actually teaching people to drive stick at my school now charging $20/30 minutes
OMG!!! That's a great idea! I think I'll take an ad out in the paper, that way I'll teach people around here not only to drive a stick, but at least how to drive like a normal person!!!
