Cvcrcr's project/fix-up thread (version 1.1)
man, sometimes it seems like your car hates you. hahhaa. My distributor O-ring is leaking oil, which sprays on the temp sensor and makes it randomly not work, causing the car to over heat. I've gotta keep a close eye on the temp sensor at all times and I keep a jug of water in the back of the car. Dunno why I dont fix it, it wouldn't take long... *drinks another beer instead of fixing car*
Thanks for the posts guys! I needed a "break" from the forum, so I didnt sign on at all during the weekend. haha
I get home Friday night, and fill my car up with water. Run the car for a little bit and no visible leaks. Went to bed.
Saturday, I let the car warm up as I am pulling the front pass wheel off. No leaks still and the car is fully warmed up after 30 mins of idle. Continued working and noticed coolant on my engine harness, clutch line, and all over my exhaust manifold collector (dried of course). The radiator was still full.
My roommate was with me as I started to overheat again last night. Popped the hood and found the leak. The cheap junk rubber Harbor Freight vacuum cap dried out and cracked. The hose clamp also helped rip into it. Fixed it for now with a replacement vacuum cap.
The front end clunk is the axle. It is not happy with the car being this low. That will need to be replaced soon. The noise is getting louder.
The rear noises I am dealing with is a combination of two things. My sway bar end links are pretty much shot and are making noise and one bolt for the UCA on the passenger side is not threading tightly for some reason, causing the rattle. I need either a longer bolt, or re-tap the hole for a different bolt. The end links for the sway bar will be replaced too.
Semi-productive weekend at least. Also did an oil change, and finally got around to replacing the oil cooler o-ring. No more oil leakage!

It is supposed to be extremely nice this weekend. I plan on getting the axle replaced, front end raised up about 1/2", getting a replacement bolt or helicoil the hole for the rear camber kit that is making terrible noises. Possibly re-installing the sway bar if that rear noise is fixed.
Nothing special, nothing that I actually feel like doing, but crap that needs to be done. I am anxious to get this damn short shifter installed that I have had for the past 2-3 weeks. Just haven't had time to pull everything apart yet

Removed the Rear UCA bolts and noticed that the first 5 or so threads on the chassis were stripped out and everything else was fine. The OEM bolts were not catching. I ended up getting a slightly longer bolt and that worked.
The rattle is still there, so I will check the bolt tonight to make sure everything is still tight down there. If it is, then the coilover to the car nuts are loose, or there is a bolt behind my plastic panels in the interior rattling around. The noise is starting to drive me crazy.

Hey man, are you still having axle binding issues? Someone told me that eyou go to Hasport's website and order axles for an H22 swap, they have axles for people using Hasport mounts and axles for people using everything else. When you had the Hasport axles, is it possible you had the right ones? The same guy also told me that people tend to have less problems with axles binding when they run Hasport mounts. Have you considered buying a set?

Integra axles so far are the best.
I had a set of Innovatives in there, but they were garbage and I ordered a set of mounts directly from Hasport. Again, they better be the most up to date version of the kit according to the price I paid for them.
Other news, I rewired my speakers to the headunit and the rear speakers magically started working again. My amp must be pretty much dead. Front pass speaker never came on and I bet it has to do with the plug I messed with while installing the power fold mirrors. I will look into it later.
And the last little rattle I had in the rear has been fixed. My rear bumper was sagging and bouncing all over the place.
