Cvcrcr's project/fix-up thread (version 1.1)
I have hear people knock the Zex cam, Crower cam, Skunk2 cam, and Bisi cam. I've also heard that some of these cams require more zinc than is available it today's standard oils. There are oil additives that are for increasing zinc content. I'd look into that.
Never thought of that. Although I have heard many people complaining about single cam camshafts and not liking any of the companies out there.
The only downside to the zinc additive is something about cat clogging, but I shouldn't have to worry about that! I will definitely be doing some more research on this soon enough.

Alright! Someone from Clubcivic PM'd me about WTB ad and has a z6 block (complete) available. I offered $125 and he took it. It will be shipping out on Monday at the latest.
The guy is located in Kansas, but works for UPS, so he said he can ship it for free. Sweet!
Next thing is to call up the machine shop on Monday regarding pricing and their turn-around time! I might go ahead and start buying the parts needed for the build by the end of this weekend, too.

I will have to think about if I want to go back to a Crower cam. I had the N/A stage 2 camshaft for a little while previously.
I will be holding on buying a few of things until everything checks out at the machine shop. However, a buddy is telling me it would be a good idea to buy the pistons/rods/pins, put them together and give the machine shop one set-up. I guess this is for them to know exactly the correct bore, and to double check their work?
Regardless, I will be ordering the pistons and all that stuff within the next day or so.

Sooooo.... does anyone want a Jackson Racing Supercharger for their D series? One popped up on my local CL at a really good price, and I honestly can't refuse. After talking with this guy for the past hour or so, we agreed on a price/location/time for tomorrow.
Basically, it looks like I will be getting ready to sell a supercharger... of course, HCF members get first dibs if interested.
Oh yea, bought my pistons/pins/rods/ARP rod bolts tonight. sweet
Edit: Bad news (
) My front passenger speaker blew last night, so I now only have 5 working speakers instead of 7. (No sub still)
