So my car makes like a whining sound coming from the engine bay at higher rpms, I think it has something to do with my belts but not sure...

And i think my "new" alternator that i just replaced not so long ago is faulty cause at higher rpms everything seems to be getting more juice and lower rpms the oposite.

Ex; my headlights get brighter once i get past like 40 mph and under that theyre just normal brightness or a little dimer. Same story with my gauges.

Any ideas on what these two problems could be guys?

Kenny, sounds like a loose belt, but do you have your tails on craigslist for trade for OEM's? People jump on them.

No i dont have a cl account...thats a good point. Im not worried about that yet though. I should think about doing that soon. What about the high/low rpm thing? you got any ideas for that? Or could it be the belt on the alt making noise and messing witht the alt powerage? idk just thinking out loud.

If your alternator belt is loose-ish it will make your lights and what not do as you mentioned, you can wait for someone who has tech advise you trust but i'm 72.54485% sure i'm right! hhaha

Or maybe its because your grounds arent good or something?

because im guessing if it was a loose belt.. it would get worst the faster you go....?
the faster its spining the more it would "slip"?

or am i missing something lol
