Ugh College is such a pain in the ***. I mean us up to no good teens want to play with our toys and college just doesn't help, I hate having to put so much away, but hey it's the right thing to do 3 years to go!

 

Yah i leave for school next saturday and start class the following monday (i know right?!) and am trying to have a job by that following wednesday so im really kicking off my life on the right foot ha im excited for college tho

I start school October 22nd haha. I got my paper work from Acura today, as a part time lube tech I get $8.50 an hour. Hopefully you get a job before all the other college kids jump on em!

Looked at the block today, not 100% sure on what I want to do. The pistons and great, no knicks, rods are fine too. They ground a lil off the block to fit the turbo up front. It is ridiculously dirty, but everything looks fine. So right now I'm thinking that if I trade it, I'm selling it. I'd put the pistons/rods on honda tech and sell em for 400ish. I'd sell the jdm block too, we'll see. Any opinions? I paid $275 for the trunk, so it would be a good deal, I just wish the block was a lil more complete, and the front wasn't ground. Seeing as I'd leave it n/a it looks kinda tacky.

 

So your saying your gonna do this just to make some profit right? What all does the block have on it, is it just the block pistons and rods? Imo keep it, like you said earlier in your thread you dont see many H22's around, what if you trade and go to sell this stuff and cant sell it. But put up some pics and let Engel looky first =P.

Well let's say what's not on the block. No studs, no oil pan, and no flywheel. Pistons were black and there lol, no knicks though, I felt em up. Cylinder walls looked pretty good. Crank and everythings there. The lower t belt cover was still on with the t belt in it so nothing down there was touched. It's just been sitting a long time (1.5 yrs) so it is just dirty.

 

Dont get it. Not worth trading a nice CF trunk for a junky incomplete h22. Cause if u trade for the block you have to find out where to get a flywheel oilpan studs, and whatever else its missing. Not worth the trouble imo and i wouldnt even try selling anything off of it, no one really wants used stuff especially from/for motors now a days.

 

I wanna kinda get rid of this trunk though, it really isn't super clean. Sun faded pretty good on it.

 

Throw the trunk on Craigslist you would be surprised the offers no matter what shape it's in.

 

Alright haven't updated in a while. I'm still looking for an h22 to build. I'm considering my trunk and cash for a jdm obd1 long block, no injectors or alternator. I'd still need crank sensor and **** and find a tranny and shift linkages and shifter box, so it'll take some time if I do it. I'm trying to get this guy down to my trunk and 200, he says 300 lowest, so ill wait a bit.

At the dealer I got more hours, workin 25 a week there, 20 a week at the resaurant. I like workin at the dealer, may just be only doin oil changes and balancing tires and stuff but it is fun. And I get to drive all the nice and new Acuras. MDX tubo hauls ***, and I drove a tl 6 speed, my god did that feel nice.

And tomorrow I should be picking up a 99-00 spoiler and tail lights off an si for $100, he says both are mint, so we'll see. I'm hoping to get rid of the trunk... preferably trade for an engine, so the spoiler and stock trunk will still keep my back end lookin good.

 

Alright I picked up the tails and spoiler today. Spoiler is mint, tails have a spot where the edge of the plastic broke off but it is all good, won't leak. I put the tails on but too dark for a good pic. Did take pics of the spoiler, both tihngs came off an electric blue si, so I have perfect fitting tails, not some uber gappage egays.

Seeing as I have this spoiler I want the cf trunk gone. So I'm going to text the guy with the jdm h22 longblock on Wednesday (my only day off) and offer him $250 and the trunk and I'll get it that day seeing as he will be more likely to sell it if I get it right then. I got a guy on honda tech that'll probably sell me a crank sensor for $30 plus shipping, that's awesome since they are almost $200 new. So seeing as I can get used stuff so cheap it makes me really want to do this H!

This spoiler isn't almost split in half like the other one was lol.
