And seriously, why don't you guys just get rid of your cars and bike. I bike to work. Get off my back about the CAT. I'm sorry I'm not as righteous as you when it comes to saving the planet by leaving my CAT on which really isn't possible when putting a turbo on.

That probably didn't make any sense, but I'm just annoyed with the recent anti-cat delete comments. I just think you choose your battles. Like I am all for not drinking bottled water. Why ship water in a container over the ocean, when I can just get it out of the tap. Do you guys drink bottled water? But using or not using a CAT is not a battle a choose to fight right now. Shoot, in my lifetime it could be possible I won't be able to use a combustion engine. Might as well use it and enjoy it while I can.
idk if we have low-flow toilets and showers in my house, i think that my dad's master bathroom toilet is since it's new, but yea we would have all that stuff if we chose to replace it ever. we just redid our kitchen with energy-star stuff, and got a new a/c unit that uses a lot less electricity.
i agree on bottled water. i try to only drink it when i have to buy it at the store when i'm out and about, and only grab one from the garage fridge whenever i need to take one with me somewhere. that whole importing water is retarded, why waste the gas transporting it when it's in the tap already?

idk, i just feel strongly about the catalytic converters usually because so many kids go on ebay and buy one of those test pipes and they think they gain like 10hp. it kinda just pisses me off that they're going out of their way to pollute the world, and they don't even know that they only will make like 2hp.
it makes sense in your situation though, however if i were in your situation i would definitely be getting a cat installed under the car, simply because i would feel guilty about not having one

I understand that trust. I will probably get one. But for now Like you said, it's just not in the picture. We'll see what happens when I get the turbo on. It would be a waste to change the exhaust now, not knowing how it will be with the turbo as it currently is set up. But I actually might need a CAT to give me a little resistance so I can get back a little low end horsepower. But I'll make sure to keep you posted.

Sorry to get worked up. I just feel like I'm being attacked for wanting to do a serious upgrade on my car. I hope there is no hard feelings pirate and trust.

No hard feelings of course... This *is* just the internet.

TBH, all of the toilets and shower heads in my house are in fact low-flow. And no, I don't drink bottled water. I don't bike to work (too far) but I do carpool whenever possible. All of the lights in my house (with the exception of a few halogens) have CFL bulbs in them.

I'm not trying to be self-righteous here or anything. Like you said, I'm picking my battles here, and I'm sure that leads back to my "this is the internet" comment above. Didn't mean to jump all over you on that one. In the grand scheme of things is your cat delete really going to change the "big picture"? Probably not. You look at the massive SUVs and CERTAIN COUNTRIES NOT CONFORMING TO KYOTO PROTOCOL, and one removed CAT from a low-emissions car is PROBABLY not that big of a deal.

It's great that you bike to work... My wife is pregnant with our first child, and I've been on this please-don't-f'k-up-the-planet-for-my-unborn-child kick lately. I probably came on a bit strong.

That being said, I would strongly encourage you to get a hi-flow cat once you have your turbo on...

...or I *will* break your legs.
