A/C PROBLEM & A NOISE WHEN IT STARTS UP HELP!!!
have you verified the compressor is turning on? Open the hood, turn on the car walk over to the front and look for the compressor. mine sits right in front. The belt should be turning the pulley only. Now go back inside the car and turn on the AC. Now when you look at the compressor it should be turning the pulley and the shaft.
I once had to remove the compressor and when i re-installed, I didnt connect the connector all the way. It appeared as though everything was working, but it wouldn't get cold. I checked the compressor and sure enough it wasn't turning on. Cheched the cnnector and with just a little pressure I heard the click. Has worked fine ever since.
Now for your problem, if the compressor is not coming on, check the connections, fuses, and then do and electrical check(switch). Good luck

I took the car to get an a/c check and it seems to be the expansion valve and dryer and condenser needs to be replaced I believe. Anyone knows how hard is it to do this job. The price quoted $734 sounds overpriced to me.
Update. The air conditioner finally works and I didn't have to spend $734. Those money hungry mechanics. It was clogged somewhere but it's working now, very cold air.
Thanks For the help!
