Clutch chatters when engines warms up!!!
Hi guys,
I have a weird problem with my transmission (mostly my clutch). Last summer I swap my engine to D15B; i did not change the transmission, but I put in a premium stock clutch. After a couple months, I started to have the clutch chattering problem; anytime I want to go to gear 1 from complete stop I have to go with high rev, otherwise the car would shake so badly. This happens only when car is warm, in the morning everything works perfect. Also this happens for the reverse gear as well, it shakes horribly.
My last mechanic did a horrible job, so I have taken it to a few other mechanic shops, most of them said it is flywheel problem, one of them said it may be your engine swap since the transmission is for 1.6L 1996 Honda civic (stock transmission). He believed that transmission is not a good match for this engine.
Anyways, when the car is cold everything works fine, after a few minutes driving it becomes really bad (the warmers it gets, I have to rev higher)!
Thanks in advance for your responding.

Make sure it's not misfiring. Get in a gear that is somewhat too high (engine turning about 1800-2000 rpm) and alternate between not pressing the gas and flooring it -- without touching the clutch. If the car shakes with heavy throttle at low rpm, it's misfiring, not a clutch problem.

The problem is fixed now, Apparently my last mechanic did a ****ty job during putting on the new clutch. The flywheel had to be resurfaced which it was not. I had to change the whole clutch system and resurface the flywheel and it did cost me $570 (in Toronto, Canada).
Thanks for all your replies!
