Lower Control Arm Plastic Cover?
I have a 2007 Honda Civic EX Sedan. I just noticed a strange noise while driving and when I looked under my car I saw that there was a piece of plastic hanging down below my car. I am not the most technical person, but it appears to be some sort of a plastic guard or cover that is in front of my rear driver side lower control arm. It is as if it has one pivot point that is still connected that in a quick glance didn't look too easy to get to and remover. Does this sound correct? If so does anyone know how or why this would have come lose or how to correct it with very novice skills and tools?
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks,
Matt
Lower control arms dont usually have covers over them I would be more inclined to think that it is a heat shield of some sort or maybe just trash that got lodged up there while you were going down the road. Would you be able to take a pic of it?
If it is just a cover, get a wire tie that is long enough and wrap it around. It is only for protective purposes, not holding any kind of weight. Or if it is made of plastic, you can drill a hole and can use a regular wire tie and tie it onto the LCA.
