if the wires and pluggs are only a week old then check and see if the wires are put in the right order i know it sounds stupid but things happen ive seen it before my friends honda was the same way he crossed some wires and it wouldnt start. another thing is it could be the coil mine went with out any warning chanbged it and it came alive. so hope it helps.

coil is in the distributor. You might also want to check the ignition control module(also in the distributor)

Did u change the cap and rotor, or just the cap? If the rotor hasn't been changed that could also cause the car not to start.

Check the ignition fuse?

I doubt its firing order if he isnt getting a spark at all. Def could be coil/dist/rotor/icm.

Make sure if the Dist is getting voltage at all, could be a wire somwhere.

hey
didn't change the rotor. just the cap. however i took a volt tester to the distributor and there was no voltage at all.
all wires look fine, but maybe theres something i don't see. thers a lot of oil all over everything under the hood as well.

i am buying a distributor off somebody today. hopefully that will fix it up
anythign i should know before i begin installing it?
