steering wheel vibration and brake shimmy

deffinently a warped rotor. i had the same problem not too long ago

I have that same problem, when i hit the brakes while going over 45 i get a pretty intense vibration. I'm glad you guys were talking about this now i know what to look at. Thanks for helping me without even asking a question.

I can tell you from experience that there's not much to "look" at, even if your rotors ARE warped you probably won't be able to see it yourself. You can take it to a brake shop and have them checked out, maybe even for free. If they are warped you can either have them turned (resurfaced) or just replace them; replacing them might be cheaper (I can tell you that from experience too).

I have a truing stand for motorcycle wheels, which i can put a rotor on and i have a dial indicator, so i think i am capable of looking at it.

Well, okay, if you have all the TOOLS then you can check it yourself...
