Glad to know there are others out there to bounce ideas off of. I recently purchased a neglected 2000 Civic EX with just over 72K miles.

I have previous experience (1996 Accord LX) with a honda and had almost no trouble. I hope to have the same experience with this honda.

Thanks for the forum, I know I will find good information here to help. I am ready to get to work and show the civic some love!

It appears and based on my shop's inspection, the routine stuff did not get done. It also looked as if the thing had never been washed or the interior cleaned at all. Overall it is in good shape with low miles so I am excited and expect to get many more years from the car.

I will keep it bone stock but I will do the little routine things that did not get done. I just think those kinds of things make them last longer!

I don't have any pics but will try to get some soon to post.

welcome to the forum, glad your civic has an owner that will treat it right now.

Do you find your civic a lot more cramped? When I rode in my friend's accord for the first time, I felt like I was in a mobile living room compared to my civic.

I am coming from a 4 door Chevy Silverado so it feels akin to riding in a pack of gum but I am loving the gas mileage, agility and the ability to see more of the crazy drivers in Atlanta. Seriously, it is a little more cramped than the accord but not too bad. Of course, when I pack my wife and two daughters in there my tune may change. I will keep reminding myself of all the money it is saving me!
