mmm idle is the least of my problems, turns out since i dont have a passenger mud flap, ihad a buncha dirt and grime spraying up into my fender/passsenger side of engine bay/firewall and coroding a buncha grounds and wires. That is (what hte shop says) why my water pump and cooling fan were turning on sporadically and also why my car wouldn't turn on these last couple days (i havent made a post about it, but my car would turn over just fine but woulnd't start). Anyway, cars in the shop, replacing wires, regrounding, etc., and once it's out i'll work on the IACV.

Code 14 is the exact code Ron. Still haven't had time to clean it out, but would a dirty IACV throw a code anyway?

Oh, so you must have an OBDI ECU. If you had an OBDII ECU, then you would have access to a more detailed and informative CEL code. Nonetheless, doing the tests I previously suggested would go a long way toward pinpointing the problem to the IACV versus other possibilities, such as a vacuum/intake air leak.
