Cvcrcr's project/fix-up thread (version 1.1)
They wouldn't be considered terrible CS, just difficult to work with. Now if they were bull****ting me around saying, nope, no refund, and no returns, forcing me to go through my bank/PayPal, then that would be terrible CS.
Played with a wire wheel on my hood just to see how it would work. Never worked on body stuff like this before. Remember that ding and rust spot behind my driver door? Gone within 5 minutes. Well, the ding is still there, it is just much harder to notice now.

I did work on the hood, too just for practice. Don't worry, I sprayed the ripped up area with primer so rust wouldn't come back. It doesn't look perfect (a little overspray), but it all has to be sanded a little before plastic dip anyways. The picture above has no primer on it. Just bare shiny metal
Started to mask off more areas were rust removal is needed! I am getting strange ooks at my car while driving down I95 to work haha

Went to HF and picked up a cheap air gun that received good reviews for like $15 (saved about $85 total after buying the gun ). My step-dad has a compressor he said he would let me use. We are all ready to go now!
1. Make sure you have the right primer on right now. There's sealer primer and normal primer. Normal primer is porous and will allow moisture through.
2. You own a honda, so you have instant bondo skills. Fill the dings and sand em smooth. On a camaro my friend bought they filled a 3" dent in with bondo. It was pretty awesome.

Not worried about the primer type right now. It is just thrown on to help with preventing rust. It will be sanded down again prior to plastic dipping. I was just playing around with the wire wheel stuff I had to see what is could do. Half the people from my work were like "what happened to your car?!?!?!!? ZOMG" when they saw the painters tape all over the side.
No bondo for me right now. No time I hate to say it. but you know what???? If I wanna bondo later, I can just peel off the paint and re-spray after the bondo!!! Sick nasty bitches.

i failed reading in school.
i never worry too much about the little bumps and dings because there will always be more. Unless youre trying to make it a show car, fixing all those is more work than its worth because people rarely notice them anyway. youre car looks really good overall and the paint will make such a big difference (all being the same color) imo.
also that tape is funny haha

Definitely no show car for me. I NEVER get people asking about my car, EVER (like when driving through town etc). I put this tape on and had 3 people come up and ask me about the car in the past two days in addition to at least 2 people give me thumbs up while driving down the highway. lol The blue tape brings in attention. I still tell everyone it is just a stock single cam.

Working on a trade for an Accord Euro R Intake Manifold. Not trying to get overly excited since it is not physically in my hands yet, but I'll say that if I can make this happen, it will be for a ridiculously good price. Selling it would bring in profit, or using it would be baller since it is a highly sought after manifold for the H22.

Saturday was a PERFECT day for painting!
Checked out an apartment on Saturday which went really well! Swung by my mom's to pick up an air compressor from my step dad. He went out and bought the fittings I needed and the air line needed to use the gun. I am a noob when it comes to air tools.
Got home and masked the car off 100%. I thought it would be better to remove some of the panels for paint. Pics:

Started painting and couldn't keep pressure in the compressor. Figured out that the compressor was just wayyyy too small for what I needed. Set off to Home Depot grabbed a $50 electric sprayer and started working as quickly as possible. It was about 3pm at this time and I had wasted about 2 hours total on getting a spray gun for the paint.
50% done:

75% done:

100% done!!!

Three gallons of paint were used. I would have loved to have about two more just to re-coat the doors/hood. White apparently does not lay down as thick (for lack of better word), causing the original color to "bleed" through more (compared to black).
Driveway aftermath:

Not perfect, but acceptable and will suit me for awhile. Still need to pick the remaining paint off the rubber seals.
Let me know what you think! If I get bored tonight, I will make up a new sig! Better pics to come sooner or later! Everything in this post was done with the iPhone.
EDIT - The electric sprayer was unpredictable, and randomly started spitting paint everywhere. I started to get the hang of it by the time I was done, but the sprayer is definitely NOT worth the $50.
