Well, I originally thought that this week the car would be towed to a shop for finishing, however, plans changed. Just got off the phone with the guy who is making my alternator bracket and he told me it should be shipped out next Tuesday as it is being powdercoated at this time. Ugh delays.

Regardless, I just ordered a GSR 60mm TB, so I need that to come in, too.

Final tweaks prior to going to the shop for wiring etc include making an EGR cover, receiving and installing the Alt bracket etc, receiving and installing the TB, finding a TB cable bracket that will fit which I can use, and figuring out if I can re-use the D16 IACV on the H22. I do not think the D16 IACV will fit due to where it is positioned on the H22 manifold.

Any one have any insight on compatibility with the D16 IACV and the appropriate TB bracket? I would assume the IACV is compatible as long as it actually fits. I also played with a few TB brackets I had laying around and could not get one to match the holes on the IM, nor set the cable in the proper area to attach to the TB.

Well, I went ahead and ended up buying a H22 specific IAC in order to reduce possible headaches.

Now I am waiting on the IAC, 60mm TB, and alternator bracket.

After that, I need to fill the transmission, fill the engine with oil (coolant should be done for the most part, just has to be bled of course), bolt the remaining pieces onto the motor, cover the EGR, and possibly hook up vacuum lines. I need to call the call to make sure that they can mount the shifter cables etc for me, too.

I really hope this will be ending soon. I have been dealing with no "fun" car for about 3-4 months now and I don't want to keep driving the g/f's Integra as that has problem which need to be addressed as well.

EDIT - I will snap some current shots of the car tonight as soon as I get home. I should be posting them up tonight once the little one goes to sleep.

Not a clue as to what year they came from. The hatch I had came with some retarded eBay BOMZ "racing" seats. I traded those for the red stripes, and use the grey ones in the coupe for the hatch knowing I didn't care what was going into the hatch at the time since I was already looking to sell it.

The ashtray I was hunting down for a looooong time. They are all over eBay for like $300 shipped or so and that was way out of my price range. Plus, they would be shipped from outside the US taking longer for delivery. This guy in CA had a complete kit, with the OEM harness etc etc etc (and even OEM factory directions printed from the FSM) for $150 shipped. I couldn't pass it up. Even though I need to quite smoking, I didn't care and bought it anyways

Hell yea man. With the weight of wiring off of my shoulders, I am finding it easier to make progress. I still need to contact the shop and see if they can install the shifter stuff for me, too. If yes, the car is as good as done.

I know it is not in the pics but I received and installed my 60mm GSR TB last night too. I should have stopped and thought before spending $40 on a IAC on eBay. Look at the pics, I found an IAC that would work for me and it was already bolted onto the IM. ugh

The guy with my ALT bracket told me last week that everything should be done by today, so i am hoping to receive a tracking number soon for delivery this weekend.

This swap has obviously been going on for too long. I cannot wait for it to be finished. My life needs to get back in order 100% and it is really hard to do so when your car is just sitting in the driveway as an ornament for the past 3 months.

Received the tracking number for the alternator bracket. Should be here tomorrow. I will finish buttoning things up this weekend, and hope to have the car towed out by next Wednesday if all goes as planned.

Alternator and brackets were installed on Saturday. For $90, and waiting a month I figured this was going to be a simple install. Well, of course I was wrong. The bolt holes were not perfectly lined up and I had to open one of the holes up slightly on each bracket to fit. Also, the kit did not come with a bolt to hold the alternator in place, or a bolt to hold the alternator in place for tension on the belt. I was luckily able to find bolts in my garage that will fit. The alternator is currently installed and does not come close to the headlight.

I also cut my valve cover to clear the driver side strut tower wall, installed a make shift intake using spare piping and an AEM dryflow filter I had sitting around, and hooked up the fuel pressure regulator 100%. I am sure I forgot what else I did, but I'll take some more updated pictures and post them up later today hopefully.

I either have the option of finding a towing company to take the car 30 miles up to the shop (guessing ~$200), or wait a week for my step dad to come out and get AAA to do it for free (assuming it is free). Depending on price, I might just wait.

I think you could get your own AAA membership for 60 a year plus a 10 dollar joining fee.

I will have to look into that. AAA would be good insurance for the future as well. I guess I haven't been thinking in that manner recently. My mind has been stuck on "How am I going to get this d@mn car fix, and fast."

*goes to AAA's site right now to see options.

EDIT - Looks like I will have to become a "Plus" member for tows up to 100 miles. There is a little disclaimer "There is a 7 day waiting period for Plus enhanced services." So I would have to wait a week anyways. I will think about it and see what I can do. The yearly fee for "Plus" service is ~$110 per year.
