I hate that I had to put the old oil pan back on for awhile until the new one comes in. Got a little bit of old oil on the block. And it's sort of cool to see that grease on everything. Looks like blood.

I just finished reading your entire build thread (not in one sitting, it was too long for that). I have similar goals to you. I want to rebuild my y7, convert to manual, and am considering a small turbo in the future. My goal is to get a little more power, save on gas, and have this car last a really long time.

Did you find a throttle body yet? I ended up spending up more on my throttle body than I did for the IM just for that stupid rotor. You should look into getting a y8 manual throttle body. That way, when you go to convert to manual, you can reuse it. You can convert your auto IM to a manual IM by tapping a hole on the back of the IM to mount a manual y8 IACV.

I never did find a y8 throttle body but I think a z6 rotor will work. Since I still have my old d16z6 TB, I'll just use that and see what happens.

Woot! Got more parts in! New oil pan, valve cover bolts, gaskets, and the y8 intake manifold bracket. Lots of stuff to finish the swap.

Brand new oil pan! I hated to have that expense, but it looks nice. New valve cover bolts with new rubber seals, intake manifold gasket, throttle body gasket, IACV gasket, PCV valve, y8 intake manifold bracket, (2 bolts for bracket, lol).

I'm talking to my engine builder. He said he could help me swap it in on a Saturday. I'm hoping it's soon.

All I have left (that I know of) is the header, catalytic converter, catback exhaust, and o2 sensor extender.

Nice! I'm jealous. I love getting packages from Honda, even if it's just something small like a bracket. I just sold an O2 sensor extender for virtually nothing. I wish I would've known you needed it. What catback/header are you thinking about getting?

I want an Apexi WS2 but I might not be able to afford it. So I'm thinking an ebay Megan header with a generic Magnaflow cat.

I really wanted an apexi ws2, but ultimately with magnaflow because it was cheaper. I kinda like it. I don't like the way the muffler looks. I may get a WS2 muffler welded on later. I got a Megan Header too. I haven't really had any problems with it.

My engine still runs like crap. No one has had any suggestions in my thread in the tech section

I'm down to the final parts on the swap. I've pieced my intake mani together with the parts I got in. Now if only my shop guy had a free bay.

Side note, not a good idea to give drunken hobo a can of spray paint. Pics later if it turns out good enough.
