CV Shaft Question

It is OK if the ring on the nut breaks if that's what you're talking about. It just needs to be free of the shaft.

Once you have that, leave all 4 wheels on the ground (take the center cap out of the subject wheel so you can reach the nut). Set the brake and really lean on it with a breaker bar. It is standard right hand thread on both sides.
