I have a 95 del sol. put some money into not alot just basic mods. a couple of dumb a$$es rattle caned and it was a bad paint job and its all actualy falling off and crap like that. looks really bad, so i put it on craigs list for sale or trade and i got a guy that wants to trade me for a 2000 accord 4 door auto. dont look bad just a little stumped on what to do. if you have input or more question to help on your advice it would be great. probly shouldnt be in general tech but you guys never let me down

 

well, me pesonally i dont like accords, and also a red flag comes up when a person offers a 2000 honda for a pos 95 honda. but thats just my opinion and i also work on cars all day everyday and im well known here.

edit: my biggest thing is i dont care what the body looks like, to me its all about the inside(Under the hood) i rather has a p.o.s looking body and have a great motor than have a great looking car and a p.o.s motor

 

ya thats what happened to me too thats why i wanted some advice. about the only i can figure is that it dose high miles and that its auto and 4 door. he said that he just wants to start building a tuner. my sol runs great but looks like crap. im going to look it over real good and take it to a garage soo i dono any more advice?

 

i wouldnt, beacuse its a accord, he can build his accord if he wants a tuner, he can swap it to manual and put a h22 or h23 in it, so that makes no since to me.
i say sand ur **** down, and take your time and prime it black, make it clean looking.

That is all about how it runs and drives, but my sol dosnt run the greatest. i dont know what else i can i do to it. it runs really rick motor shakes bad, and it keeps burning up timing belts. im not trying to go against what you say cause i do agree, but i figured i should let you in on some info about it

 

I like that generation of Accord. Lots more space than a del Sol. But yeah, that kind of trade does seem to raise a couple of flags. Be sure to look the Accord over in great detail first.

 

Ya def going to do that. like i said made me wounder too and i figured i should ask for some input. is there anything spacific to look at for that year and model car? any problems they had?

 

What's the mileage? I know of 3 people who've had problems with the transmission after 150K

 

200 thousand something. its really high but this guy bought it off of a business man that traveled. how hard would it to be to find a new tranny or what would work for a 5 speed? it has the 2.3 vtec
