Cvcrcr's project/fix-up thread (version 1.1)
Stop by the house, pick up the red coupe, drive it around till either 1) you get the bugs worked out or 2) I get back back in a couple months and help fix the wiring fiasco! It's not as fast, but just as sexy
Email me with what exactly is going on with the whip. I can try to help out as much as I can. Later mang

Lol I love the change of the link to your thread on your sig now.
The tps itself seems f'ed, might as well reaplce that and you might be able to replace the h22 sensors with ones off your y8. And if I were you I'd buy a y8 wire harness and an h22 harness, start fresh, and look up the wiring guides on what to change over. $700 is outrageous.

I should have the wiring nonsense dealt with by the time you come back for a little bit of time. I don't want you to spend your time off from the desert working under my hood fixing wiring nonsense. We can go out for a beer or two. If anything, I would ask you to help me work on the tune. You are good at that where as I am not.

I saw that you called me, but it was at 6:15AM. I was sleeping haha. I'll catch up with you later homie.

I have a few sensors from the y8 which should work without a problem. I have an IAT sensor which I plan on replacing on the H22 I have. If the CEL is still up for the IAT after replacing it with a known good sensor, there is a problem with the wiring, correct?
The problem is that right now, I do not have the time to pick the two harnesses in order to create a replacement. I hardly have time for anything nowadays.
I'll try to replace the sensor tonight and see what happens. When I picked up the car I had one CEL for the VSS. I heard something about an OBD1 VSS not working with an OBD2 VSS plug so I was okay with that.
I touched the ecu to move it back to where it should be and everything tweaked and I now have multiple CELs. I have a strong feeling that there is a wiring issue by the ECU.
Also, just a random question, the shop said they did not hook up my o2 sensor since I had an OBD2 o2 sensor with an OBD1 ECU and it wouldn't work since the sensors are made from a different metal internally. I know for a fact that I have been running the different OBD O2 sensors with my P28 and never had a problem. The guy I spoke with at the shop is just trying to put one over on me, or is he right stating that they are not compatible? Just making sure on this one.

O2 sensors are pretty much the same from what I know, just a matter of whether it is a 1 wire self grounding, 2 wire grounded, or 4 wires heated oxygen sensor. Idk if obd1 o2 sensors are 2 or 4 wire, I know 96-00 is 4 wire for sure, and 1 wire is only in ef/da.
I have never seen a 2 wire o2 sensor. Only 1, 4, and 5. The 92-95 should have a 4 wire and it should work. I used the OE o2 sensor from my d16y8 with my P28 for a while now with no problems. Thus the reason I started to get upset with the "tuner/builder" at the shop since I am pretty confident in my knowledge and he was just trying to be a d!ck.
Just to give everyone an update about other things I was waiting to install.
The 3 pt strut bar is pure cr4p. I should have figured. Oh well. The bolt holes do not line up with the locations on the firewall. The bar doesn't even reach the firewall. I installed it just for fun really quick using the strut tower bolts. I removed it a few days ago while working on the TB wiring etc and I noticed that the strut tower bolts left imprints in the cheap, soft metal. This will most likely be trashed unless I can sell it to someone locally.
Honda access window visors finally showed up. I was getting worried that this guy scammed me. They turned out to be legit OEM with all hardware for installation. I haven't installed them yet (it was raining last night), but they look good with only one or two extremely light scratches on each side. If anyone else is interested in contacting him for a set, I sent him an E-mail asking if he had additional sets for sale.
I plan on installing the visors tonight (if it isn't too cold out), and hopefully getting something done this weekend with the car. I have wires all of the place in the passenger foot well. Everything looks like crap. The car needs to be cleaned, too.

Yea. $85 is what I paid. The guy forgot to ship them, so I sent him an E-mail 2 weeks after payment asking about it and stating a claim will be filed if a tracking number isn't provided. He E-mailed me the next day with a tracking number. Just making sure you guys are 100% with how my transaction went with him. His E-mail address is 2hipcivic@gmail.com. His name is Reza. Also, he ships from Malaysia. I told him some of you guys would be contacting him for visors, so go for it if you are interested.
Pics of the visors! Installation is extremely easy. I had them installed and everything put back together within 45 minutes in the dark while it was windy and 30* F outside.

My bro has been getting into cameras and all that expensive jazz and took a few pics of a few things while I was over there last week working on his car. Enjoy!
