Received the Rywire clutch line and replacement distributor yesterday. Clutch line should be going in this weekend!

I have been having a little bit of noise coming the rear drums upon pressing the brake, or slowly driving recently. The noise doesn't really happen too often, but enough to concern me. No noise when braking while moving, but I get a creaking noise sometimes when at a stop sign pushing the pedal down a few times. Coasting to a stop makes this noise sometimes, too. I'll have to see if I can get back there this weekend, too.

Ugh. Yesterday's ride home from work was awful.

Sitting in horrible stop and go traffic on I95, my CEL pops on. Sitting there like "fawk, oh well I'll check it when I get home, after glancing at the gauges etc. Maybe about 2-5 min later, my oils temps were hitting 220 F!!! Then i noticed the water temp gauge was at about 75%. Overheated the motor.

I pulled over, check everything out, used a hair clip from my roommate/coworker to jump the fan and nothing happened. Checked the fuses, looks good. Rommates noticed that the wiring on the fan looked shoddy. Sure enough, the fan wiring deteriorated and caused the fan to not work.

Ended up letting the car cool down, added a quart of oil in (since I was low anyways), and then blasted the heat until I was able to get to back roads to drive the car home. Everything seemed fine afterwards. Oil didn't go above 195 F, water temp were normal at the ~50% mark.

This weekend, I plan on:

Oil change/coolant change/compression test
Clean up a few minor wires in the engine bay
Swapping a few oil seals (VTEC etc)
Install Rywire clutch line
and possibly more if I get around to it.

To this day I regret selling the jdm h22 I had... Skunk2 tuner 2 cams, port and polished, would've been so quick. I just didn know nearly as much as I do now and I was intimidated by the amount of parts I still needed since the engine wasnt 100% complete. Some day if I walk away from single cams I'll get another h22.

Clutch line looks nice, looks like its like a rubber line type of deal still? Mines switched over to stainless braided, cost me like $60 I think. Need to paint that valve cover, and should've painted the engine while it was out, but bays coming real good. What was your skunk2 manifold hitting on when you had it. Brakes lines? Or firewall? I would've just hammered **** out of the way lol. At least the h22 manifolds are super easy to port since they are 2 piece, don't have to cut and weld.

Clutch line is a stainless steel line with a rubber sheath or whatever you call it over it. If I can get a good enough picture, up close you can see the stainless braiding underneath the rubber. I spent about $65 for mine.

I didn't want to paint the VC since raising and lowering the engine would have nicked the paint. Most of the imperfections you see now are from the chains during the swap. It'll get painted when it gets warmer out. I have a can of wrinkle red sitting in my room waiting for it.

I wanted to paint the engine, but I started to freak out thinking it would start to flake after a little bit of time and look terrible. I decided to clean it as best as possible with a wire brush and spray it with a clear coat. If I could guarantee that it would not have flaked off after heat cycles etc, I would have done it.

The Skunk2 IM hit everything imaginable. If you can find a pic of one installed, they are HUGE. Specifically, mine was hitting the brake prop valve (and the firewall if I moved the valve away), brake/clutch lines, fuel filter/lines, and I think we had to work it around the brake master cylinder prior to actually putting it over the studs on the motor, too.

I didn't end up doing all of the modifications needed for that fitment since a buddy of mine who was helping me out was leaving for the army the next week, so we were trying to get everything together and at least running. We ended up taking the butterflys out of the OEM manifold and going with that. If I ever get the money, I am going for a Euro R manifold. Proven to be just as good, if not better than Skunk2 and it fits in my car! Problem is that I would need to spend about $500 at least on the set-up. Then a bigger TB ($100), bigger intake/piping ($100). I don't have that kind of money at the moment.

As soon as my taxes come in, I will be sitting down and seeing how much I will leave myself to "play" with.

Just seen the change to your sig,
I thought you got Hasport axles, still having issues with those?

Only ran Hasports, always had issues. Binding terribly on the driver side with the Innovatives, now binding occurs:

- Between 25-35 mph and slowly accelerating
- When I hit a big bump (which is fine since I should be avoiding them anyways)
- When I take a hard turn.. I mean hitting a highway on ramp going like 70 or so

Also, I get a lovely drivetrain noise when I take off quickly from a stop. I am sure it is from the same issue.

I assume the binding is on the passenger side at this time. I might start to experiment since there is a guy on HT I have been talking to who has not had any problems with 94-01 Integra pass axles, and he didn't even swap the Prelude inners over. If I start experimenting, I have a set of prelude inners (from the hasports sitting in my garage) that I can use if needed.

Yes, I have two sets of $300 Hasport axles. The Hasport person had me believe that there was an issue with the first set and that I needed replacements. I bought them since the ones I had were technically out of warranty and the problem is still there.

On another note, my iPod cable for the headunit died randomly. $8 for a replacement.. sweet. Also, I found someone on HT selling a spare OEM spark plug cover for $35. Just needs to be repainted silver and it will be good to go.

Still waiting on my damn tax refund to come through.

lol, loving the new avatar.

That sucks on the axles.

How low are you?
Have you tried raising it up a bit to see if it gets better?

I've had mine every where from close to stock height to sphincter puckering over the smallest bumps with no bind issues.

But as you know I've got the avid mounts w/unknown axles.

If those were 15's, I would have already bought them haha. I love Buddy club P1's.

I am about 1" lower than stock. The shop which did my swap raised the car up to Hasport's "recommended height".

Right now, I am dealing with a fan issue. Replaced fan, jumped connector = nothing, manually turned fan on using s300 = nothing (showing FANC = on in the S300 so it is recognizing the fan to be on). Fuse is good. I even swapped it just in case, too.

Possible problems:
- Rywire harness issues (very doubtful)
- Body harness to fan damaged

Question - Could deleting the A/C fan set-up and cutting the plugs off affect anything? I never heard the fan running with the "old" harness, but the fan worked before the swap. So I am leaning towards body harness issue, or something related to me deleting the A/C stuff. Any help is appreciated!
