Your best bet is going to be looking for a greddy turbo, manifold, and downpipe combo. They sell on HT all day. No need for external waste gate as you only want 180hp.

Anyways if you cant find that combo, look for small t25 turbos as thas all your going to need, plus they spoon up faster getting you into boost faster. Most long manifold will be p/s and a/c compatible, but p/s probably isnt a big deal for you. I really like the drag and greddy manifolds. As for vaccum manifold it really doesnt matter they are all the same, some are just more flashy then others. In fact you could even make one. Since you want the intercooler to be blacked out, use flat black radiator paint not just any flat black. I have no idea about the fogs. I have heard you cant do it, but I know there is a way cause I have seen it, probably will just need some small modifications. For tuning just get a chipped p28 with a chrome basemap. That is going to be the cheapest and most effective way to tune.

you wont be happy with a jrsc. Theyre garbage on a d. An EX with one cant make much more than 180ish. Not to be a downer, but youd make less on a y7. Id go with a greddy turbo/mani/dp. Chances are, you could use a t25 with a cast mani, however, youll have to be careful in your selection to keep AC. and a p28 with crome should work. However, all of the free programs have their issues.

I'm happy with mine. Instant boost FTW! Yea, I know that the little baby t25's build "instantly", but it isn't instant like a S/C.

You have your goals hobo, now go for them. Greddy is right though, without extensive mods, you won't come near 180hp on a s/c'd y7. With all my mods, I'm lucky to be hitting around 160ish.... but I like the added instant lower end torque.

In the supercharger's defense, I have heard a lot of things about S/c's being easier to maintain. With turbos, you have alot more stuff to worry about (oil psi, oil lines, boost creep, boost leaks etc). With a S/C, the only thing you need to worry about really is the S/C belt breaking.

How much do you want to spend on tuning? Of course, I will be suggesting for you to pony up and get the s300 as you can use it for almost any swap that you can put in the Civic (except K or J series). I'm happy I got my s300 as I wasn't planning on boosting when I bought it, tuned the car while it was N/A, and then wanted more, but no worries as the s300 was about to handle it all with ease.... and I am still not using all of it's features! S300 with the boost controls FTW! Buy it... now. lol

Good luck with everything buddy.

I agree, Hondata is the way to go for tuning. It's worth the extra cash. I have been told the only way to keep fogs is to get an intercooler with the back door setup, but I am not positive on that. Start looking for a tuner in your area if you haven't already. I am lucky enough to have a well known tuner in my area who specializes in Honda's and S300. He has recommended the AFI manifold/DP combo over all others so that's what I'm looking to buy.

Not entirely true. Neptune RTP is very good for about the same price. A lot of people have switched to Neptune for a few reasons. One, Neptune is upgraded and updated a lot. Two, if you buy it once, they usually have upgrades that are compatible with the one you have, and certain ones are free from neptune if you get it installed by a tuner. Also, the backdoor setup is the easiest, but you lost AC. You CAN run your IC pretty low in the front bumper or get custom bent piping. I'm looking into option one right now

Ah, I see you're going boost. If you want faster boost, go with a smaller size turbo. Personally, I don't want to top off my power with a smaller snail so I'm going with a super 60. External wastegate as well...if you want to stay sleeper, I would agree with a black intercooler but you can power coat that. I'm so excited. You got a lot of researching to do, like me. I will try and help you out as best I can as well. B)

I would NOT powder coat an intercooler. The plastic particles are much thicker than paint and will restrict airflow.

as long as the intercoolers new just spray it with cleaner just to be safe let dry and then paint it. it should stick just fine.

I just started a project thread on my local forum so I might get some cheap parts from all the redneck turbos around here. Also possibly have a decent hookup at a machine shop. Can get this head hot tanked, skimmed, and everything checked out for relatively cheap. There's a guy with a y7 for sale on the forum but I don't think I'll get it from him because I know he beat the hell out of that poor engine before he swapped in his b18. It'll need a complete rebuild lol.

This is gonna be so expensive.

I'll be hitting up junk yards soon to see if I can find some of the auto-manual swap parts.
