Exactly what I did. Once they were out, popped the new one in place and tapped them in with the hammer.

Good looking VC. How much did the powder coating cost you?

-_- valve cover is ruined. Wasted $50. ****ing knocked a throttle body onto it and ruined the finish. The tube seals WILL NOT come out. They shatter. I've spent the past hour and half trying to pry pieces out of the holes. They won't come out. I no longer have the patience to keep wasting money on this project. So, project over. I'm done. If I ever drive a boosted Civic, it'll be one I buy.

Screw this.

I'm going scorched earth policy on my Honda parts. Nothing will remain. Fire sale, it's all gotta go.

DITO dont let alittle thing discourage you! this is why you are piecing the system together serperate, to do it right the first time and have a trouble free setup! little things always pop up here and there... no more than typical maintance on your current driver! when the powder coated the cover it might have melted the seals tuffer on the cover. MAYBE.
dont give up this far along!

damn just like that? My Senior year in highschool my Economics teacher told me "I never run from anything!" That quote always sticks with me, maybe you should think about that?

Just like that. I can't afford this **** on $19,700 a year. I can barely afford to live on that ****. Gotta cut my losses and try to make enough off of the parts to pay the deposit on the next apartment. Maybe buy more beer and cigs. I dunno, **** it. It's tough to do this alone.

Don't give up, put a band-aid on the scratch and keep going. If you have to put it on hold for a little do it, but don't give up. Just don't look at it for a week. I've had to do that twice already.

Understand how you feel about it all to be honest. I had to give up my turbo build because of bills etc. However, the project never ended Don't give up on car entirely.

+1 on the band aid sticker

When you work on the seals, just lay the VC on a towel so it wont get scratched up. It took me about a hour to do my spark plug tube seals, but again, it was the first time doing it.

If it makes you feel any better, I bought a $380 camshaft only to find out that the rocker arm assembly was f@cked which destroyed the cam, valve, retainer, and those little grommets (all of which were extremely fun to replace lol). Basically flushed that money down the toilet. Oh wells, stock for now. Oh yea, and my car has yet to be painted. ugh... still trying to save for it.

Dont give up man, things happen, just keep going, even if in a different direction.
