It's at the shop right now. There was a misunderstanding about the paint quote so it might cost more to get it like I imagined... (shh, its a surprise!)

Luckily, I live in the same city as the shop now (still 25 minutes away lol) but I'm close enough to be able to talk to the shop owner in person. So he'll let me know details and such and I can come over, etc. Fingers crossed.

glad to hear your able to keep the car, after all the work you put into it, starting over would be depressing. does it look like you'll have any of that money left over after the body is repaired?

Not sure yet. Haven't gotten the final quote on repairs. I may have to call and check on it.

The shop never called me with some quotes, so I drove by today. The owner was out getting lunch for the crew, but I got to check out the car. It's already mostly rebuilt. Both frame rails were bent... (damn...) but they straightened them out and have the new hood, fender, headlights, core support, and bumper bar on already. (I snapped a picture, but my phone didn't save it for some reason. RAGE!!!!!!)

I still don't have a dollar amount on the cost of repairs. But with the frame having to be straightened a little, it looks like it's gonna cost more than I was originally quoted and my scheme to repaint it in Electron Blue Pearl with the leftover money is going to fall through.

Oh well. As long as he puts the right grill, fog lights, and lip on it, I'll be satisfied with gold.
